— Why D4 Season

Couples massage in Shoreline.

There's a particular kind of afternoon that a couples massage is made for: no agenda, phones away, both of you finally in the same room doing nothing but relaxing. At D4 Season in Shoreline, our Couple Massage gives you exactly that — two side-by-side treatments, two therapists, one calm room — for 60 minutes at $170.

Our Shoreline studio, at 15507 Westminster Way N Ste 7E, is easy to reach off Westminster Way and Aurora, and it's a regular stop for guests from north Seattle, Edmonds, Lake Forest Park and Lynnwood. As Seattle's first specialized head spa, established in 2022, we've spent years refining what an unhurried hour should feel like.

People book it for all sorts of reasons — an anniversary, a birthday, a hard week that needed a full stop. The occasion matters less than the result: two people leaving calmer than they arrived.

Because we started as a head spa, the whole studio is built around the same idea — quiet rooms, warm water, unhurried hands. A couples massage simply borrows that atmosphere for two.

— The session

What a couples massage involves.

In a couples massage, you and your companion lie on tables next to each other while two therapists work at the same time. The style is Swedish — a gentle, flowing, full-body massage meant to relax rather than to push into deep muscle. Each therapist follows your own preferences, so the two of you don't have to want the same thing.

The wider case for massage is straightforward and well documented. The American Massage Therapy Association takes the position that massage can support physical, mental and social well-being, and Mayo Clinic Health System describes it as one everyday way people ease stress and tension. We keep our promises modest and in line with that: relaxation and comfort, not medical treatment.

Because you're sharing the room, the hour tends to feel social and calming at once. It's a comfortable first massage for anyone new to bodywork, and a familiar ritual for those who come back every few weeks.

The appeal is partly physical and partly just the pause. Gentle, rhythmic pressure warms the muscles and nudges the body out of its low-grade, always-on state; most people notice their breathing slow and their shoulders drop within the first ten minutes. Doing that next to someone you're close to tends to make the calm land a little deeper — you're both off the clock at the same time.

It's also an unusually low-pressure way to try massage. There's no performance to it: you lie down, you're covered, and you let someone competent take over for an hour. If a solo massage has ever felt a bit exposing, doing it beside a partner or friend often makes the whole thing feel easy.

Getting comfortable

If it's a first massage for one of you, sharing the room with someone familiar usually helps. We'll go over pressure, any tender spots and areas to skip before we begin. You stay dressed to whatever level feels right, and draping keeps everything private throughout the session.

The pace of the session

Sixty minutes is enough to properly settle. You can chat quietly or say nothing at all — there's no script. Speak up any time the pressure isn't right; it should feel good, never sharp. When it's over, we'll point you toward water and suggest not rushing straight back into traffic.

There's no clock-watching from our side either. The room is yours for the session, the lighting stays low, and the aim is that you both lose track of time a little. Most guests are surprised by how quickly the hour goes and how reluctant they are to get up at the end.

— Menu & pricing

Couples & massage pricing.

The Couple Massage — Swedish for two, same room, 60 minutes — is $170, and that's the price for both of you together. Gratuity is not included.

You're also free to design your own two-person visit from the wider menu. Sixty-minute sessions run $85 for Swedish, $95 for deep tissue and $95 for our CBD oil massage; ninety-minute Swedish and deep-tissue treatments are $125 and $135. Book two of them in one room and one of you can go deep while the other keeps it gentle.

Prices are identical at both studios, so choosing Shoreline over Lynnwood is only ever about the drive, never the cost.

A few logistics for two-person bookings. Come in together so both sessions can begin at the same time, and let us know if you'd like matching lengths so you finish together too. If one of you is running late, we'll do our best to adjust, though the second table may need to shift — another reason a quick phone call ahead of time helps.

— Around Shoreline

Areas we serve near Shoreline.

The Shoreline studio sits at the northern edge of Seattle, which makes it convenient for a broad group of guests. We see regulars from Shoreline itself, north Seattle neighborhoods like Greenwood and Northgate, Edmonds, Lake Forest Park and Lynnwood.

If Lynnwood is closer to you, that studio runs the same couple's massage on the same menu. For two-person bookings, aim to reserve a few days out — two therapists have to be free at the same time, and weekend slots go quickly.

Thinking about a gift rather than a visit? We sell gift cards, and a couples massage makes an easy present for a wedding, an anniversary or a simple thank-you.

For a lot of north-end couples, this has quietly become a routine — a standing monthly booking that survives busy seasons because it's genuinely restful, not one more thing to manage. Some come the same week every month; others save it for occasions. Either rhythm works.

— Plan your visit

Book your couples massage in Shoreline.

Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM. Reserve online through the Shoreline booking page, or call (206) 688-9700 if you'd like a hand coordinating a two-person time slot.

Have a little longer? Add a head spa or a facial and turn it into a half-day, all under one roof. You can also see the whole body therapy menu or, if it's the shorter drive, the couples massage in Lynnwood.

If you're weighing it as a gift, it travels well: a card, a date to be chosen later, and an hour the recipient gets to share with someone of their choosing. We're happy to talk through options over the phone if you're not sure which session to put on it.

However you plan it, the idea is the same one we started with: an unhurried hour, side by side, with nothing you have to do but relax.

— Common questions

Asked & answered.

What exactly happens during a couples massage at your Shoreline studio? +

Two of you share one room, each with your own therapist, for a 60-minute Swedish massage. You relax on side-by-side tables at the same time rather than taking turns.

Is the Shoreline price the same as Lynnwood? +

Yes. The Couple Massage is $170 at both studios, and the rest of our body-therapy menu is priced identically. Gratuity is not included.

Can we talk to each other during the session? +

Of course — it's your hour. Some couples chat quietly, others go silent and simply relax. There's no rule either way.

Is this a good idea for a first massage? +

It can be. Being next to someone you know often makes a first massage feel more comfortable, and Swedish pressure is gentle. Just tell your therapist it's your first time so they can guide you.

Where is the Shoreline studio and who comes here? +

We're at 15507 Westminster Way N Ste 7E, drawing guests from Shoreline, north Seattle, Edmonds and Lake Forest Park. It's an easy trip off Aurora and Westminster Way.

Do you offer couples massage for special occasions? +

Many guests book it for anniversaries, birthdays or a shared treat. We also sell gift cards if you'd like to give the session to someone else.

How often can we come back? +

For general relaxation, every four to eight weeks suits most people; if you're using massage to manage ongoing stress, some come every two to four weeks. There's no need to come more often than feels good.

What if one of us wants deep tissue instead of Swedish? +

Easy to arrange — book two individual sessions in the same room and choose different styles, so one person can have deep tissue while the other keeps it light.
