— The treatment

What happens during a facial.

A facial is a skincare treatment meant to cleanse, exfoliate, nourish and hydrate the skin. We can focus it on specific concerns such as dryness, congestion, sensitivity or uneven tone. Every facial we do is customized, with the goal of deep hydration, restored radiance and skin that feels smooth and refreshed. You can choose anything from a hydrating facial or gua sha to HydraFacial or a luxury La Mer facial.

The steps in a facial

A typical facial may include a skin consultation and analysis, then cleansing, exfoliation, optional extractions, a facial massage and a treatment mask, finishing with serums, moisturizer and sunscreen. A HydraFacial works in three steps: cleansing with a gentle exfoliating peel, extracting pore impurities with light suction, and hydrating with a personalized booster serum.

How long it takes

Our facials run 30 to 60 minutes. You can book the 30-minute Guasha Lifting Facial ($70), the HydraFacial Deluxe ($150, 60 min) or the La Mer Renewal Facial ($158, 60 min). That last one uses richer skincare products and takes its time with hands-on care.

— Is it for me

Who a facial is for.

Anyone who wants to cleanse, hydrate and refresh their skin can book a facial. Most of ours can be customized for dry, oily, combination, sensitive, acne-prone or mature skin. Facials are for every gender, too. Our Men's Purifying Facial is built around men's skin and grooming needs.

How often to come in

Every four to six weeks is what many skincare professionals suggest, but your ideal schedule depends on your skin type, concerns and goals. Facials usually do the most good when you also stick with a consistent skincare routine at home.

A note on skin concerns

A facial may help manage mild congestion and clogged pores. Moderate to severe acne, though, often needs a customized routine or care from a dermatologist. Let your esthetician know if you have sensitive skin or are pregnant, and the treatment can be adjusted.

— The relaxation

Skincare and a moment of calm.

Skincare is the main job of a facial, but resting is a big part of it too. Along with cleansing, hydration and brighter, smoother-looking skin, a lot of the value is an hour of lying still with your phone put away. Relaxation and stress relief are part of the treatment.

To be clear, we make no medical or clinical claims about results. It's general reading about slowing down, and none of it is a claim about our services.
