Which studio is closer from Edmonds?
Most "near me" pages dodge this question, so we'll answer it straight. D4 Season doesn't have an Edmonds address. We have one studio south of you in Shoreline and one east of you in Lynnwood, and Edmonds sits almost dead-center between them. Depending on which end of town you live in, either one can be the shorter drive.
That works out well for you, actually. If one studio is booked solid on the evening you want, the other one usually has room. The menu, prices and hours are the same at both, so the only thing you're really deciding is which way you'd rather drive.
A rough rule that works for most people: if you're south of Main Street or out toward Firdale, head for Shoreline. The Five Corners and Perrinville side of town usually gets to Lynnwood faster. Either way it's about fifteen minutes, a little more during the after-work rush.
Route one: south on Hwy 99 to Shoreline
From downtown, take Edmonds Way or 100th Ave W down to Hwy 99 and keep going south past 175th. Westminster Way N splits off Aurora near 155th, and the studio is at 15507 Westminster Way N Ste 7E with parking right there. Of the two drives this is the simpler one, since you're on one road most of the way.
Route two: 196th St SW to Lynnwood
Going the other way, follow Edmonds Way east, pick up 196th St SW, then head a couple of minutes north on 33rd Ave W just before Alderwood. The Lynnwood studio is at 18500 33rd Ave W Suite C. If you're already running errands near the mall side of Lynnwood, this one makes more sense.

Why Edmonds guests make the short drive.
Edmonds does slow days well. People come from all over the region for the kind of afternoon you have right outside your door. Think of a beach walk at Brackett's Landing, the ferry heading out toward Kingston, or a slow loop through the galleries downtown. A head spa fits right into a day like that. It's one more hour where nobody needs anything from you.
D4 Season opened in 2022 as Seattle's first specialized head spa, and scalp care is still our main focus. If you're picturing a salon shampoo, this is a lot more involved. Each visit is a full treatment built around the scalp: analysis, deep cleansing, a long slow massage, hydrotherapy and conditioning.
The relaxing part counts too. Massage has been practiced across cultures for thousands of years, and the NCCIH notes that its risk of harm is low when a trained provider does it. Put plainly, an hour of scalp and shoulder work is one of the safer things you can book for yourself.
We also see a steady stream of guests from the quieter spots around Edmonds. Woodway is just south along the bluff, and Esperance is the unincorporated pocket between Edmonds and Lynnwood. Woodway leans toward Shoreline, and Esperance could go either way.

What awaits once you arrive.
Every session starts with a look at your scalp. That check decides what your treatment will include. If there's oil and product buildup, we cleanse more deeply. A dry, tight scalp gets gentler products and more time on conditioning.
From there we take each step at an easy pace. First the cleanse, then the scalp-and-shoulder massage that most guests call their favorite part, then the hydrotherapy rinse. Conditioning and a blow-dry come last, so you don't walk back to the car with wet hair.
If you've had a busy, pleasant day around Edmonds, the change of pace is easy to notice. Slowing your breathing in a dim, quiet room is the same low-cost idea behind the relaxation techniques the NCCIH describes, and here all you have to do is lie back.
Picking a length for the day you're having
The 30-minute TCM Head Aromatherapy is the quick version at $50. For first-timers we suggest the 60-minute D4 Signature Head Spa at $85, which covers every step without the higher price. Then there are the 90-minute treatments, from the Luxury Head Spa at $135 up to the Scalp Revitalize Therapy at $220. Save those for days when the only thing you need to be on time for is the ferry.
A note on what it isn't
A head spa is a wellness service, and it doesn't treat medical problems. It won't regrow hair or fix a scalp condition, so please see a dermatologist for those. What you can count on is a thoroughly clean scalp, softer hair and a quiet hour you'll probably want to book again.

The full menu is below, and every price on it is the same at both studios. Driving a few extra minutes to the other location won't save you anything or cost you more. Sessions start at $50 and go up to $220.
Most Edmonds guests end up in the middle of the menu, with the D4 Signature at $85 or the Chinese Herb Head Spa at $90. Another common pick is the 75-minute Aura Scalp Treatment at $110, which adds a scalp analysis, serum and blow-dry. Gratuity isn't included in any listed price.
Gift cards work at either studio, so they're an easy present even if you don't know which way the person drives. If you're stuck between two treatments, give us a call. Describing your scalp for thirty seconds usually settles it.

You don't need to prep. Come in with unwashed hair, since we'd rather see your scalp the way it normally is, and tell us about any sensitivity before we start. How long is the drive from downtown Edmonds?

Yes, all the time. Woodway guests usually find Shoreline the easier drive south. Esperance sits between our two locations the same way Edmonds does, so book whichever one has the time you want.
Do I need to do anything before my first visit?

Nothing special. Don't wash your hair beforehand, because we'd rather see your scalp in its everyday state. Get here a few minutes early, and let us know about any scalp sensitivity or recent color so we can adjust the products.
Does a head spa include a haircut or styling?

No. A head spa is a scalp treatment, so there's no cutting or coloring involved. Your session does end with a blow-dry, though, so you'll leave with hair that's clean, dry and presentable.
