— Why D4 Season

Couples massage in Lynnwood.

Booking a couples massage is usually about sharing something, not just checking a box. Maybe it's an anniversary, maybe one of you has been buried in work for a month, or maybe you both just want an hour where nobody's reaching for a phone. At D4 Season in Lynnwood, our Couple Massage puts two people in one quiet room, each with their own therapist, so you unwind side by side instead of taking turns in the waiting area.

We're an easy trip from the Alderwood area, and our Lynnwood studio at 18500 33rd Ave W Suite C draws guests from Bothell, Edmonds and Mill Creek. The couple's session is a 60-minute Swedish massage for two at $170, and the same body-therapy menu carries over to our Shoreline studio if that happens to be closer.

What people notice first is how unhurried it feels. There's no rush to move you in and out — the room is set for two, the lighting stays low, and the whole point is that you both leave looser and calmer than you came in.

It's a small thing, but sharing the experience changes it. You compare notes on the way out, you both feel the same kind of loose and sleepy, and the evening tends to slow down along with you.

— The session

What happens in a couples massage.

A couples massage is what it sounds like: two people, two therapists, one room. You lie on tables beside each other and each therapist works to your own preference, so one of you can ask for lighter, more soothing pressure while the other digs into a stubborn shoulder. Our couple's treatment is built on Swedish technique — the gentle, full-body style most people picture when they imagine a relaxing massage.

Massage is one of the oldest forms of hands-on care, chosen mostly to ease tension and help people relax. There's a reason a shared massage feels like more than a treat: Mayo Clinic Health System describes massage as one ordinary way people manage stress, and the NCCIH frames relaxation as a low-risk way to quiet the body's stress response. We don't make medical claims about any of that — we just build the hour so it's genuinely calming.

And it isn't only for couples. Plenty of guests book it with a friend, a parent or an adult child — anyone you'd happily share a quiet room with. If it's a first massage for one of you, being next to a familiar face tends to take the edge off the nerves.

What most couples want out of it is simple: to feel less wound-up than when they walked in. Swedish work warms the muscles, encourages circulation and gives the nervous system a chance to downshift, which is why people so often describe the after-feeling as heavy-limbed and a little sleepy. None of that is a medical outcome — it's just what an hour of steady, attentive pressure tends to do.

Before you lie down

When you arrive, we'll ask about pressure preferences, sore spots, and anything to avoid — recent injuries or sensitive areas. It helps to come a few minutes early and to skip a heavy meal right beforehand. You undress only to your comfort level, and the therapists use draping so that only the area being worked on is ever uncovered.

During the hour

The 60 minutes move at a steady, quiet pace. Because you're both in the same room, you can talk if you like or simply drift — most couples go quiet within the first few minutes. If the pressure ever feels off, say so; a relaxation massage should never be painful. Afterward we'll suggest some water and a little time before you rush back into the day, so the calm actually sticks.

— Menu & pricing

Couples massage options & pricing.

Our headline option for two is the Couple Massage: Swedish for 2, in the same room, 60 minutes, $170. That covers both guests and both therapists, and gratuity isn't included.

If you'd rather build your own pairing, the full body-therapy menu is open to you — book two individual sessions in the same room and mix styles as you like. A 60-minute Swedish is $85, deep tissue is $95, and our CBD oil massage is also $95; the 90-minute Swedish and deep-tissue sessions are $125 and $135. So one of you can keep it light and relaxing while the other goes deeper, all in the same room.

Every price below is the same at our Lynnwood and Shoreline studios — one menu, one phone line, no location surcharge.

A couple of practical notes on booking two people at once. Both of you should plan to arrive together so we can start on time, and it helps to give a little notice if you'd like the same length of session — matching two 60-minute treatments keeps you finishing together. If your schedules only overlap for part of the day, we can usually work with that; just mention it when you call.

— Around Lynnwood

Areas we serve near Lynnwood.

The Lynnwood studio sits just off the I-5 and I-405 junction, which makes it an easy trip from a wide stretch of Snohomish County. Regulars come in from Bothell to the east, Edmonds toward the water, and Mill Creek to the north, along with neighbors in Mountlake Terrace and around Alderwood.

If you're coming from further south — Shoreline or north Seattle — our Shoreline location may be the shorter drive, and it offers the identical couple's massage. A note on timing: weekends and evenings book up fastest for two-person appointments, since we need two therapists free at once, so it's worth reserving ahead.

Parking is straightforward, and the room resets between guests, so there's rarely a wait once you're booked. Planning something bigger — a birthday or a small celebration? Contact us for groups of five or more and we'll help coordinate the day.

For a lot of our Lynnwood regulars, the couple's massage has become a standing ritual — a monthly reset booked around a birthday, a deadline, or simply the end of a long stretch. There's no wrong reason to come, and no expectation that you turn it into anything more than an hour of quiet.

— Common questions

Asked & answered.

Does a couples massage cost $170 for both people? +

Yes. Our Couple Massage — Swedish for two in the same room, 60 minutes — is $170 total, covering both guests and both therapists. Gratuity is not included in the price.

Do my partner and I get separate therapists? +

You do. Two therapists work at the same time, one for each person, so you can each choose your own pressure and focus areas while relaxing side by side.

Is a couples massage only for romantic partners? +

Not at all. Plenty of guests book it with a friend, a parent, an adult child or a sibling. It's simply a massage for two people who'd like to relax in the same room.

What style of massage is the couples treatment? +

It's a Swedish relaxation massage — gentle, full-body and soothing. If one of you prefers firmer pressure, just tell your therapist and they'll adjust within the session.

How far in advance should we book in Lynnwood? +

Two-person appointments fill up faster than single ones, especially on weekends and evenings, since two therapists need to be free at once. We'd suggest booking several days ahead and calling (206) 688-9700 if you have a specific time in mind.

What should we do to get ready? +

Arrive a few minutes early, stay hydrated, skip a heavy meal right before, and let your therapists know about any injuries or sensitive spots. Wear whatever's comfortable — you undress only to your comfort level, and draping keeps everything private.

Can we add a head spa or facial to make it a longer visit? +

Yes. D4 Season offers head spa and facials alongside massage, so many couples turn the visit into a half-day. Let us know when you book and we'll help line up the timing.

Will the massage hurt? +

A relaxation massage shouldn't be painful. If the pressure ever feels too strong or too light, tell your therapist and they'll change it — your comfort sets the pace.
