— Why D4 Season
A facial near Seattle North.
If you've been hunting for a good facial without driving into the city, the north-end options have gotten a lot better — and that's part of why we built the skin-care menu the way we did. D4 Season runs two studios up here, one in Shoreline and one in Lynnwood, and a facial at either is a short, low-fuss trip from most of Seattle North.
We started in 2022 as a specialized head spa, so skin care at D4 comes from the same place as scalp care: a treatment should feel calm and be genuinely tailored to you, not run off a script. Every facial begins with a look at your actual skin that day.
A facial is skin care, but it's also a stretch of quiet — and quiet does more than it gets credit for. The NCCIH describes relaxation techniques as a low-cost, low-risk way to ease everyday stress, and an unhurried hour with your phone off is a big part of what people come back for.
It helps that skin care up here isn't an afterthought for us. The esthetics room gets the same attention as the head spa suites — the same lighting, the same unhurried pace — because a facial you feel rushed through is barely worth booking.
We keep it low-pressure in the other sense of the word, too. You won't be talked into a shelf of products at the end; if you want recommendations you'll get honest ones, and if you don't, that's completely fine.
Regulars often tell us they book a facial the way other people book a haircut — a standing bit of upkeep rather than a splurge. Keeping it close to home is what turns it into a habit instead of a once-a-year treat.
— The treatment
What happens in a facial.
A facial cleanses, exfoliates, nourishes and hydrates the skin, and it can be pointed at whatever your skin needs most — dryness, congestion, dullness, sensitivity. You'll get a short consultation first so your esthetician can choose products and pressure that suit you.
None of it is rushed. The treatment doubles as a rare hour where nothing is asked of you, which is part of why the Mayo Clinic lists things like massage, aromatherapy and hydrotherapy among relaxation techniques that can slow the heart rate and ease muscle tension.
The usual steps
Most facials follow a familiar arc: cleanse, exfoliate, optional extractions to clear congested pores, a facial massage, a treatment mask, then serums, moisturizer and SPF to finish. A HydraFacial swaps some of that for its three-step device work — a gentle exfoliating cleanse, light-suction extraction, and hydration with a booster serum tuned to your skin.
The order can shift depending on your skin. Sensitive or reactive skin might skip aggressive exfoliation; congested skin might get more time on extractions. That's the point of the consultation at the start — the arc is familiar, but the emphasis is yours.
How long it takes and how often
Facials here run from 30 to 90 minutes depending on what you book. Many estheticians suggest coming every four to six weeks, but the rhythm that fits your skin and your schedule is the right one. A steady at-home routine does more for your skin than any single visit ever will.
A quick word on what your skin might do afterward: most people leave a little dewy and noticeably clean, sometimes with a faint flush that settles within the hour — normal, especially after extractions. Occasionally skin purges a day or two later before it evens out. Your esthetician tells you what to expect for the treatment you chose.
— Near you
Facials for the north end.
Our two studios cover most of Seattle North between them. Shoreline is the easy choice from north Seattle, Lake Forest Park and the Edmonds line; Lynnwood suits Lynnwood, Bothell, Mill Creek and Mountlake Terrace. Wherever you're coming from, you're booking the same menu at the same price.
Plenty of guests pick a studio by whichever is closer to work rather than home — a facial makes an easy lunch-break or after-work stop when it's ten minutes away instead of forty.
Free parking at both studios makes a weekday facial genuinely doable on a lunch break, and the after-work slots run late enough that you don't have to burn a vacation day to fit one in.
Both studios keep the same long hours, so a north-end facial fits around real schedules — early enough for a day off, late enough for after work, and open six days with a shorter Sunday.
— Plan your visit
Book a facial near Seattle North.
We're open Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM. Book online to choose your studio, esthetician and time, or call (206) 688-9700 if you'd like a hand deciding which facial fits your skin.
Want to make more of the visit? A facial pairs naturally with scalp care — see the head spa and facial combo — or with bodywork via a massage near Seattle North. We're glad to plan a longer afternoon, and gift cards work at both studios.
If you're building a skincare habit rather than chasing a one-off glow, say so on the first visit. Your esthetician will sketch a simple cadence and a short at-home routine so the results you see in the mirror actually hold between appointments.

— Common questions
Asked & answered.
What kinds of facials can I book near Seattle North? +
Our menu runs from a 30-minute Guasha Lifting Facial to HydraFacial options and a La Mer luxury ritual, with customized facials in between. Every facial can be tailored for dry, oily, combination, sensitive or mature skin at either studio.
What is a HydraFacial and how is it different from a regular facial? +
A HydraFacial follows three steps — a gentle exfoliating cleanse, light-suction extraction, then hydration with a booster serum. A classic facial is more hands-on, with a mask and facial massage. Both cleanse and hydrate; the HydraFacial is the more systematic, device-assisted option.
Will one facial make a visible difference? +
Most people leave with skin that looks cleaner, brighter and more hydrated. That said, the biggest gains come from a steady rhythm — many estheticians suggest a facial every four to six weeks alongside a simple at-home routine.
Should I come with makeup on? +
You don't need to. Your skin gets cleansed at the start regardless, so coming straight from work is completely fine. Just mention any products or active ingredients you've been using so we can adjust the treatment.
Can men book a facial here? +
Absolutely. Our Men's Purifying Facial is built for men's skin and grooming needs, and every other facial on the menu is open to everyone.
Is there anything I should avoid after a facial? +
For a day or two it's wise to skip strong exfoliants and actives, heavy sun, saunas and intense workouts if your skin feels sensitive — especially after extractions. Your esthetician will tell you what fits your skin.
Do facials near Seattle North cost the same at both studios? +
Yes. Shoreline and Lynnwood share one facial menu and one price list, so you can book whichever location is easier to reach without paying more.
