A scalp detox at D4 Season begins with a look at your scalp, then moves into the part that gives the treatment its name: a deep, purifying cleanse. We work through the hair and along the scalp to loosen and rinse away the oil and product residue that ordinary shampooing at home tends to leave behind. From there it becomes a proper head spa — a scalp-and-shoulder massage, conditioning, and our hydrotherapy step, a gentle halo of flowing water over the scalp.
A scalp massage is, at heart, a form of massage — a practice the NCCIH describes as one of the oldest and most common ways people work the body's soft tissue to relax. We lean into that: the cleanse does the practical work, and the massage and warm water do the unwinding.
It suits just about anyone. If your scalp runs oily, gets flaky in winter, or simply carries a lot of product, the deep clean tends to feel especially good — and if none of that applies, the massage and warm water still make it a worthwhile hour.

The most cleansing-focused choice is Purifying Scalp Care at $168 for 90 minutes — deep cleansing with a scalp serum and red LED light. If you want the signature experience, the 60-minute D4 Signature Head Spa is $85, and the 75-minute Aura Scalp Treatment ($110) includes deep cleaning, scalp analysis and a finishing serum.
Prefer a herbal angle or the top-tier ritual? The Chinese Herb Head Spa ($90, 60 minutes) leans on Chinese herbal ingredients, while Scalp Revitalize Therapy ($220, 90 minutes) is the fullest treatment we offer. Everything is priced the same at our Lynnwood and Shoreline studios, and gratuity isn't included.
