— Why D4 Season
Massage near Seattle North.
"Seattle North" isn't one city so much as a stretch of neighborhoods — Shoreline, Lynnwood, Edmonds and the quiet blocks in between. If you live up here, you already know the drive downtown for a massage rarely feels worth it after a long week. That gap is exactly what D4 Season set out to close, with two studios you can reach on a weeknight.
We opened in 2022 as Seattle's first specialized head spa, and body therapy grew out of the same idea: a calm room, unhurried hands and an honest menu. Our Shoreline studio sits on Westminster Way N; our Lynnwood studio is just off 33rd Ave W. Both run the same massage menu at the same prices, so "near Seattle North" genuinely means either door.
Massage is one of the older forms of self-care, and independent groups such as the American Massage Therapy Association frame it as support for physical, mental and social well-being rather than a cure for anything. We keep that framing honest — the goal here is relaxation and easing everyday tension, not a medical result.
The other quiet advantage of staying local is that you actually use the calm you paid for. A ten-minute drive home beats fighting I-5 back north while your shoulders slowly re-tense. It's a small thing, but it makes the habit easier to keep.
Regulars tend to fold a visit into a day they were already spending nearby — a Saturday grocery run in Shoreline, a stop near the Lynnwood transit center on the way home. That's what a neighborhood spa is for: it fits the life you already have instead of asking you to build an afternoon around it.
It stays personal at that size, too. We're two studios, not a chain, so the therapist you liked last time is usually the one you can request next time — which matters more for massage than for almost anything else you book.
— The session
What a massage here feels like.
A massage is hands-on work on the muscles and soft tissue. You'll talk with your therapist first — where you're tight, how much pressure you like, anything you're recovering from — and then you're left to actually switch off. Draping keeps you covered the whole time; only the area being worked on is uncovered.
The room is built for that: warm, quiet, unrushed. Most people book 60 minutes for a full-body session, 30 minutes when they just want the neck and shoulders sorted, and 90 minutes when they want a therapist to be thorough.
Plenty of first visits start with something simple — a stiff neck from a desk, restless sleep, a stretch of weeks that just felt like too much. You don't need a reason beyond wanting an hour to yourself. Massage is one of the oldest ways people have carved that hour out, and it holds up.
The styles on our menu
Swedish is the gentle, gliding, full-body style most people picture when they hear "relaxation massage." Deep tissue goes slower and firmer into the layers underneath — that's the one for stubborn knots. CBD oil and our Deep Blue pain-relief massage add a soothing topical for muscle comfort, and the couples option lets two people share one room.
None of these is a fixed script. If you booked deep tissue but only want firm work on your upper back and something gentler everywhere else, that's an ordinary request. The style is a starting point; the session is shaped to the body on the table that day.
Pressure, comfort and aftercare
A relaxation massage should never actually hurt. Deep tissue can feel intense in a good way, but say the word and your therapist eases off — pressure, room temperature, music, all of it adjusts. Afterward, drink water, move gently and give the calm a little time to settle. The NCCIH notes the risk of harm from massage is low for healthy adults, which is part of why it's such an easy thing to make a habit.
First time? Arrive a few minutes early so you're not rushing in, wear something comfortable, and don't worry about the etiquette — your therapist talks you through all of it. A light snack beforehand beats a heavy meal, and there's no pressure to make conversation. The quiet sessions are usually the good ones.
— Near you
Areas we serve near Seattle North.
Between the two studios we're an easy trip for most of north King and south Snohomish County. From the Shoreline side that's Shoreline itself, north Seattle, Lake Forest Park and Edmonds; from Lynnwood it's Lynnwood, Bothell, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace and, again, Edmonds in the middle.
Pick whichever is closer to home or to work. Shoreline is the shorter hop coming down 15th or off I-5 near the county line; Lynnwood makes more sense from the 405 side or anywhere up toward Mill Creek. Same standard, same menu, same prices either way.
Parking is free and uncomplicated at both, which sounds minor until you've circled a downtown block for twenty minutes. You pull up, walk in, and relax — the trip itself shouldn't be the stressful part of a massage.

We're open Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM, which covers most after-work and weekend slots. Booking online lets you pick your studio, therapist and time in one go; if you'd rather talk it through, call (206) 688-9700.
Not sure a straight massage is what you need? Plenty of guests pair it with scalp work — see our head spa and massage combo — or make an afternoon of it with a facial near Seattle North. Either studio will build the visit around the time you have.
However you find us, the aim is the same: an honest, well-run massage close to home. Come once to feel how the room, the pressure and the pace sit with you — you'll know quickly whether it's the studio you keep coming back to.

— Common questions
Asked & answered.
Which D4 Season studio is closest to Seattle North? +
Both are close. Our Shoreline studio at 15507 Westminster Way N is the shorter drive from north Seattle, Lake Forest Park and Edmonds; our Lynnwood studio at 18500 33rd Ave W suits Lynnwood, Bothell and Mill Creek. The massage menu and pricing are identical at each.
Do I need to choose Swedish or deep tissue when I book? +
It helps, but it isn't binding. Tell your therapist at the start how much pressure you want and where you're tight, and they'll adjust. If you're new to massage, a 60-minute Swedish is the easiest place to begin.
How far in advance should I book a massage? +
Weekend and after-5 PM slots fill first, so a few days ahead is smart for those. Midweek daytimes are often available same-day — call the studio and we'll check what's open.
What's the difference between the CBD oil and Deep Blue massages? +
Both are 60-minute sessions at $95 that add a soothing topical to the work. The CBD oil massage uses a calming CBD blend; Deep Blue uses an essential-oil blend built for muscle comfort. Either is a good pick when you want a little extra ease.
Can two of us book a couples massage near Seattle North? +
Yes. Our couples option is two 60-minute Swedish massages in the same room for $170, available at both studios. Book early — the shared room is limited and popular on weekends.
Is massage a treatment for an injury or medical condition? +
No. D4 Season is a relaxation and wellness spa, not a medical provider. Massage may ease everyday muscle tension and stress, but it isn't a substitute for diagnosis or treatment — check with your healthcare provider about any injury or condition first.
How often do people come in for a massage? +
For general relaxation, many guests come every four to eight weeks; for ongoing stress, every two to four weeks tends to feel better. There's no need to come more often than your body actually wants.
