— Why D4 Season
Head spa & facial near Seattle North.
Booking two treatments used to mean two appointments, at two places, on two different days. Up here in Seattle North you can do it in a single visit — a scalp treatment and a facial, back to back, at either of D4 Season's studios in Shoreline or Lynnwood.
We opened in 2022 as Seattle's first specialized head spa, then added a full skin-care menu, which is exactly why this pairing works so well under one roof. The same team that cleanses and massages your scalp can hand you straight to an esthetician without you ever leaving that quiet.
Both studios run the identical head spa and facial menus at the identical prices, so "near Seattle North" simply means whichever location is the shorter drive. Nothing about the combo changes between them.
For a lot of guests this is the visit they book when they finally take a real day for themselves. It reads less like a quick treatment and more like an afternoon off, and having both services in one calm space is what makes that feel effortless instead of like running errands.
The two studios also mean you're rarely far from one. Whether your day runs through Shoreline or up toward Lynnwood, the combo is waiting at whichever end is more convenient, with no difference in menu or price.
— Why pair them
Why a head spa and facial belong together.
On their own, each treatment is lovely. Together they cover the whole picture above the collarbone — scalp, hairline, face — without stepping on each other's toes. A head spa works the scalp and the tension you carry around your head and neck; a facial focuses purely on the skin. There's no overlap, just a natural handoff.
There's a sequencing logic to it, too. Scalp work loosens the shoulders and jaw — right where most of us hold stress — so by the time you lie back for the facial, your face has already softened. Estheticians will tell you that relaxed muscles make for a better facial.
The relaxation compounds
The best part is what happens to your nervous system. By the time the scalp massage and warm hydrotherapy have done their work, you're already unwound — so the facial lands on someone genuinely relaxed rather than someone who just rushed in from the parking lot. The NCCIH frames this kind of quiet, hands-on care as a low-risk way to ease everyday stress, and stacking two calm hours only amplifies it.
You feel it in small ways — your jaw unclenches, your breathing drops, the to-do list goes quiet for a while. That's not a medical claim; it's just what an unhurried couple of hours does for most people, and it's the honest reason the combo exists.
One trip, two results
Practically, it's efficient. You get a refreshed, clean-feeling scalp and brighter, hydrated skin from a single booking, a single drive, a single block of time carved out of a busy week. For a lot of our regulars, that's the whole appeal — maximum reset, minimum logistics.
It's the kind of visit people book for a birthday or right before a big event, precisely because one appointment quietly does the work of two.
— The visit
What happens in the combo.
We usually start with the head spa. You'll get a quick scalp check, then a deep cleanse, a long scalp-and-shoulder massage, and our signature hydrotherapy — a gentle halo of warm water most guests remember long after. Then you move to the facial while you're still in that unhurried headspace.
The order isn't fixed. If you'd rather end on the facial's calm, we keep the head spa first; if you love walking out on that fresh-scalp feeling, we can flip it. Just tell us at check-in.
The head spa half
The scalp portion is equal parts cleansing and comfort: analysis, targeted scalp treatment, massage, a cleansing wash and hydrotherapy, finished with a blow-dry. It's a wellness ritual, not a medical one — well suited to an oily, dry or simply tired scalp, and to anyone who just wants an hour of calm. Most first-timers are surprised by how much of it is simply rest.
If your scalp tends to get oily or flaky between washes, this is the half that resets it — a clean, comfortable feeling that usually lasts well past the visit.
The facial half
The facial is built around your skin that day — cleanse, exfoliation, optional extractions, a facial massage, a treatment mask and hydration to finish, or a HydraFacial's three-step device work if you choose that route. You walk out with the scalp reset and the glow at the same time.
There's no awkward gap in the middle, either. You stay robed and settled while we reset the room around you, rather than sending you back to the waiting area — that continuity is half the point.
— Near you
Book the combo near Seattle North.
Between the two studios we're an easy reach for Shoreline, north Seattle, Lake Forest Park, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Bothell, Mill Creek and Mountlake Terrace. Choose whichever is closer; the combo is the same at both.
We sit right in the middle of that corridor, which is the whole reason the combo makes sense here — a genuine spa afternoon without the bridge traffic or the downtown parking hunt.

— Common questions
Asked & answered.
What's included in a head spa and facial combo? +
You pick one scalp treatment from the head spa menu and one facial, and we sequence them in a single visit. Typically the head spa comes first — cleanse, scalp massage and hydrotherapy — then the facial, so you leave with both a refreshed scalp and glowing skin.
Why pair a head spa with a facial instead of doing just one? +
They cover different ground without overlapping. A head spa works the scalp and the tension you carry above the shoulders; a facial focuses on the skin. Back to back, the relaxation from the first flows straight into the second — it's the closest thing we offer to a half-day reset.
How long does the combo take? +
Plan for roughly two to two-and-a-half hours depending on which services you choose. A 60-minute Signature Head Spa plus a 60-minute facial is the common pairing; add time if you go for a 90-minute head spa or a HydraFacial.
Which head spa and facial go best together? +
For a first visit, the 60-minute D4 Signature Head Spa with a Classic Hydration or Summer Signature facial is a balanced, comfortable pick. If you want more, the 90-minute Luxury Head Spa pairs beautifully with a HydraFacial Signature.
Can I book the combo at either Seattle North studio? +
Yes — both Shoreline and Lynnwood offer the full head spa and facial menus at the same prices. Booking online lets you choose the studio; for a two-service visit it's often easiest to call so we can line up the timing.
Is a head spa and facial combo good for a gift or a special occasion? +
It's one of our most-gifted visits. Gift cards work at both studios, and the combo suits birthdays, a pre-event glow, or simply a long-overdue afternoon off. Let us know if it's a surprise and we'll help plan it.
Do I need to prepare my hair or skin beforehand? +
Not really. Come as you are — we assess your scalp in its natural state and cleanse your skin at the start of the facial. If you're using any strong skincare actives, mention them so the esthetician can adjust.
