— Why D4 Season

A massage near Mountlake Terrace.

Mountlake Terrace sits almost exactly between our two studios, which is lucky if you want a good massage without a long drive. D4 Season Lynnwood is a quick trip north up 44th Ave W, and D4 Season Shoreline is about the same distance heading south — so here, "near me" genuinely means near you.

We kept the body-therapy menu deliberately small and clear: Swedish, deep tissue, CBD oil, Deep Blue pain-relief and couples massage. There's no upsell maze and no mystery pricing. You choose the length and the pressure, your therapist reads your body and adjusts as they go, and the same menu and prices apply whether you book Lynnwood or Shoreline.

D4 Season opened in 2022 as Seattle's first specialized head spa, and the massage room grew out of the same belief — that an unhurried hour of quiet is worth planning for. Massage is one of the oldest forms of self-care; the American Massage Therapy Association frames it as something that can support physical, mental and social well-being, largely by easing the everyday load of stress.

Most first-time guests tell us the hardest part is simply making the appointment — once the door closes and the lights come down, the drive over stops mattering. We keep the space calm and unfussy on purpose, so a weeknight visit near Mountlake Terrace feels like a genuine break rather than one more errand squeezed into the evening. Plenty of regulars end up settling on a standing slot with the same therapist, which makes each session easier again, since they already know where you carry tension and how firm you like the pressure.

— The session

What happens during your massage.

A body massage is hands-on work on the muscles and soft tissue. Most people book it for the obvious reasons — a stiff neck, tight shoulders, a lower back that complains after a long week at a desk — and for the less obvious one, which is simply the chance to stop and breathe for an hour.

When you arrive, your therapist asks what's bothering you and how firm you like the pressure. From there the room goes quiet. You stay draped the entire time; only the area being worked on is uncovered, and you can call for more or less pressure at any point without breaking the calm.

The reason so many people keep massage in their week is that it works on two fronts at once. Physically, kneading and gliding strokes help loosen tight muscle and encourage blood flow through the areas being worked; mentally, the steady rhythm and the quiet give your nervous system room to downshift out of the day's low-grade rush. Neither effect asks anything of you beyond lying still and breathing, which is part of why an hour on the table can feel longer and more restorative than the clock suggests.

Choosing your style

Swedish is the gentle, flowing full-body option most people start with. Deep tissue works slower and firmer into the layers that hold chronic tension. CBD oil massage adds a calming topical for guests who want a little extra ease, and our couples massage lets two people relax side by side in the same room. If you're unsure, start with a 60-minute Swedish and tell us where you carry tension.

How long to book

A 30-minute session is a focused fix for the neck and shoulders; 60 minutes covers the full body without rushing; 90 minutes gives a therapist room to work through the stubborn areas properly. Arrive a few minutes early, drink water before and after, and mention any injuries or health conditions so we can adapt. A relaxation massage shouldn't hurt — deeper work can feel intense, so speak up and we'll ease off.

— Menu & pricing

Massage options and pricing.

Our massage pricing is flat across both studios and printed in full below, so there are no surprises at checkout. Sessions start at $50 for a 30-minute neck-and-shoulder focus and run to $135 for a 90-minute deep-tissue session. A 60-minute Swedish is $85; a 60-minute deep tissue, CBD oil or Deep Blue pain-relief massage is $95.

Couples who want to unwind together can book Swedish for two in one room at $170 — a favorite for partners and friends. The 45-minute back-and-leg massage sits at $75 for anyone who wants something between the short focus session and a full hour.

Gratuity isn't included in the listed prices. If you're planning a visit for a group of five or more, call ahead and we'll help coordinate times across the two locations so everyone is seen together.

Gift cards are available if you'd like to send someone a session, and they can be used at either studio. If you're booking a massage as part of a birthday or a small celebration, mention it when you call — we'll do our best to seat your group close together and keep the timing smooth, and for parties of five or more we can plan across both Lynnwood and Shoreline so nobody is left waiting.

— Near you

Areas we serve near Mountlake Terrace.

Because our studios bracket Mountlake Terrace to the north and south, we see regulars from right across the corridor — Lynnwood and Edmonds only minutes away, Mill Creek and Bothell a short drive north, and the Shoreline and north Seattle neighborhoods just to the south of town.

If you're coming from the Mountlake Terrace side, the Lynnwood studio at 18500 33rd Ave W Suite C is usually the shorter hop, while Shoreline at 15507 Westminster Way N Ste 7E is easy from the south end. Both keep the same hours and the same menu, so pick whichever fits the way your day is already pointed.

Pair it with a head spa or facial

Plenty of guests turn a massage into a longer reset by adding one of our other services — a head spa when the tension lives in your neck and scalp, or a facial to finish. You can also compare our massage in Lynnwood or book straight from the body therapy hub.

— Plan your visit

Book your massage near Mountlake Terrace.

We're open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 8 PM, so an after-work massage is realistic even on a weekday. Call (206) 688-9700 to book, or reserve online and choose the studio that's closest to you.

If it's your first visit, there's nothing to prepare beyond arriving a little early and coming as you are. Wear whatever's comfortable, and we'll talk through what you want from the session before we begin — you can change your mind about pressure, focus, room temperature or even the music at any point along the way. The goal is simply that you leave looser and calmer than you arrived.

Massage may help ease feelings of muscle tension and stress, but it isn't a substitute for medical care — if you have an injury or a health condition, check with your provider first. For neutral background on the practice, the NCCIH notes that the risk of harm from massage appears low when it's done by a trained therapist. When you're ready, we'll have a quiet room waiting near Mountlake Terrace.

— Common questions

Asked & answered.

How far is D4 Season from Mountlake Terrace? +

Both of our studios are only a short drive away. D4 Season Lynnwood sits just north of Mountlake Terrace off 33rd Ave W, and D4 Season Shoreline is a similar distance to the south — most guests reach one or the other in well under fifteen minutes.

Which massage should I book if I sit at a desk all day? +

A 60-minute Swedish or a neck-and-shoulder focus is a good starting point for desk tension. If your upper back and shoulders feel chronically tight, deep tissue at 60 or 90 minutes lets the therapist work those areas more slowly. Tell us where it bothers you and we'll adjust as we go.

Do you offer couples massage near Mountlake Terrace? +

Yes. Our couples massage is a 60-minute Swedish for two in the same room, priced at $170. It's a popular option for partners or friends who want to relax together, and it's available at both the Lynnwood and Shoreline studios.

What is a CBD oil massage? +

It's a standard massage using a topical CBD oil chosen for comfort and a calming feel. It's designed purely for muscle relaxation and an overall sense of ease — we make no medical claims about it. If you'd prefer a different oil, just let your therapist know.

How early should I arrive for my appointment? +

Arrive about five minutes early so you can settle in, use the restroom and talk through any tension or health notes with your therapist. Staying hydrated before and after helps, and there's no need to rush off the table when you're done.

Do you take walk-ins, or is it appointment only? +

We work by appointment so a therapist and room are reserved for you. Call (206) 688-9700 or book online; for groups of five or more, reach out ahead of time and we'll coordinate across both locations.

Is gratuity included in the price? +

No. The prices listed are for the service only, and gratuity is not included. Tipping is always at your discretion.
